As many as 167 meritorious students of class 10th and 12th board exams were honoured with citation, motivational amount and laptop by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) in a function held at Chief Minister’s residence here on Friday.

School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam was the Chief guest at the programme. Raipur West MLA Vikas Upadhyay presided over the function. MLAs Shailesh Pandey and Chandradev Prasad Rai were present as special invitees.

Congratulating the merit holders Dr Premsai Singh Tekam said that its because of the hard work, devotion, systematic study and blessings that these students secured a place in the merit list.

MLA Vikas Upadhyay and Chairman of CGBSE and Principal Secretary of School Education Department Gaurav Dwivedi also congratulated the students.

The students, who obtained first position in the board exam, were honoured with gold medaland silver medal to second positions. Meritorious students from primitive tribes, who topped in the board exams, were honoured with motivational amount, laptop and citation. Dhavendra Kumar (2017) and Shiv Kumar Pandey (2018) were felicitated with cash award of Rs 11,000 in the programme.
