Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel during his visit to the National Capital, paid a courtesy call on Vice-President M VenkaiahNaidu and greeted him with ‘Kosa shawl’ and bell-metal memento prepared by artisans from Chhattisgarh.

During the courtesy meeting, the Chief Minister informed the Vice-President about the development works being undertaken in Chhattisgarh. He informed that on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi, the State Government will be launching daily free nutritious food distribution scheme in every gram panchayat with an objective to fight malnutrition and anemia.

The Chief Minister also informed the Vice-President about the Suraji Gaon Yojana under which initiative is being taken towards boosting economy in rural areas and preservingenvironment through the initiatives like Narwa, Garuwa, Ghurwa and Badi. The Vice-President praised the Chief Minister for the initiatives.
