The students of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Naya Raipur participated in an inter college competition ‘Youth Fest’ organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Raipur Youth Capital recently.

The IIIT, Naya Raipur team won maximum number of trophies in the event and lifted the prestigious Dignity Cup.

The competition was divided into three major categories - Athletics, Quiz and Dance. Teams from 8 different institutes of Raipur participated in the event.

The athletic events were followed by a highly intellectual quiz competition of three rounds. The quiz team of the IIIT consisting of Priyansh Pandey, OjasAnkit, Gaurav Mundada, Shyam Agarwal and Sayantan Roy bagged the 2nd prize.

Pandaw and SoniyaSeervi, won the 2nd prize in dance competition with its power packed

and brilliantly synchronised dance performance.

Pranay T G of the IIIT, Naya Raipur was awarded the Student of the Year trophy, having bagged maximum number of prizes.

The other institutes which participated in the event were Mahant College, Maharaja Agrasen International College, MATS University, Raipur Medical College, Pt Ravishankar Shukla University, INIFD Raipur and Kalinga University.

The athletics team of IIIT-NR won the following prizes -1st in 400 m relay race, 2nd in 400 m race - Pranay T G, 3rd in 100 m race (male) - Anubhav Yadav, 4th in 100 m race (female) - Rashi Bagga and 3rd in long jump - Pranay T G.
