Kotwali police nab two absconding criminals

Kotwali police nabbed two wanted criminals carrying cash reward of Rs 5,000 each who were absconding in a case of attempting murder since nine months, on Friday. Arrested have been identified as Lalit Thapa (22) and his brother Rohit Thapa (20), residents of Kuliana Mohalla in Amanpur.
CSP, Kotwali, Deepak Mishra informed that, late night on January 2, a youth named Rishabh Kewat (20), resident of Kewat Mohalla reached a police station who was rushed at Victoria Hospital where he was given primary treatment and immediately referred at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital for further treatment of his critical injuries. The injured informed that he along with his friends Rahul Bairagi and Mukesh Patel were standing at Jainagar Park, Labour Chowk where Lalit Thapa and his younger brother Rohit Thapa arrived and started abusing him over an old money dispute. Before he learnt their intentions, the miscreants attacked him with sharp edged weapons. In the attack, he sustained grave wounds on his hand, back and thigh. Police registered a case under sections 307, 294, 506 and 34 of the IPC and started a search for the accused. Police conducted search at residence and other probable places but failed in apprehending the accused.
Taking a serious note of the case, Superintendent of Police Amit Singh had declared cash reward of Rs 5,000 each for giving information or apprehending the two absconding criminals.
Continuing the search, police received information about Lalit Thapa and Rohit Thapa who were hiding near Kachhpura Railway Station waiting for train. Acting promptly on the information, police started a search and succeeded in apprehending the accused. Accused were apprehended by police team led by SHO of Lordganj police station, Madhur Pateria comprised of SI, Anil Mishra, ASI, Swarnshila, Constables, Shankar Gupta and Rajesh Jatav.
