Four members of gang held for duping people

Cyber Cell Police Zone Jabalpur nabbed four members of a gang including two girls involved in duping several persons through several persons through Matrimonial Site. Kingpin of the gang is still at large and police are conducting a rigorous search for him and other persons involved forgery cases. Arrested have been identified as Samaylal Jaiswal (25), son of Aghnu Ram Jaiswal, a resident of Marmada village, Kabirdham in Chhattisgarh, Rajesh Jangde (24), son of Lalchand Jangde, resident of Hanoda village, Durg in Chhattisgarh, Veena Devangan (20), daughter of Yashwant Devangan of Shivnagar, Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh and Puja Sahu (19), daughter of Raju Sahu, resident of Rajivnagar, Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh. Cyber Cell Police Zone Jabalpur, Inspector, Vipin Tamrakar informed that a man named Sajay Singh, resident of Gupteshwar lodged a written complaint that he registered his name on a matrimonial site named Jeevan Sathi.Com. After some months of registration, he received a call from representative of matrimonial site who took online fees of Rs. 5,000 and sent him photographs of marriageable girls. He selected a photo when a representative provided her contact number.
 
He contacted the girl who introduced herself as Tanuja Thakur, a resident of Rewa and started regular talk with him and agreed for marrying him. Soon after, the girl informed about her family problems and obtained money of Rs. 6.50 lakh in different account numbers in different installments in last one year. He charged that the girl duped him with money of Rs. 6.50 lakh. Acting on the complaint, Cyber Cell Police Zone Jabalpur registered a case under Sections 419, 420, 468 and 120B of IPC and Section 66D of IT Act and started investigation into the case. Cyber Cell Police traced the location of caller and matrimonial site owners.
 
Once the location was confirmed, a team reached Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh and succeeded in apprehending four accused. Police learnt that the accused were engaged in registration of unmarried persons and providing fake photos of girls for duping them in the name of marriage. Investigations are underway to apprehend the kingpin and other persons working in the duping network.Accused were apprehended with active working of Cyber Cell Police team.
