Norwich stun defending champions Man City

NORWICH City stunned title holders Manchester City 3-2 in the English Premier League as Teemu Pukki scored one goal and assisted another at Carrow Road. Kenny McLean nodded in a corner in the 18th minute to give Norwich the shock lead over the reigning Premier League champions on Saturday night. Norwich were without 10 first-team players through injury but that did not stop them from doubling their advantage as ten minutes later Todd Cantwell made it 2-0 after Pukki broke clear and set him up. Just before halftime, Pep Guardiola’s men got one goal back as Sergio Aguero headed in.

But, there was no stopping Norwich on the day as Emiliano Buendia made the most of Nicolas Otamendi dilly dallying on the ball deep inside City’s half to set up Pukki for his sixth Premier League goal. Rodri’s low strike made it 3-2 as City hit back but it was too little too late as Norwich held firm for a win. Wilson double gives Bournemouth home win: CALLUM Wilson scored twice for Bournemouth as they enjoyed a 3-1 home victory over a defensively fragile Everton side to move into mid-table in the Premier League on Sunday.

Everton began strongly in the south-coast sunshine with Richarlison thumping the woodwork with a dipping drive. Wilson nodded the hosts into the lead from a corner in the 23rd minute only for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to level it up with a header just before the break Everton’s first away goal in the league this season. Ryan Fraser’s dangerous ball into the area flicked off Everton’s Fabian Delph in the 67th minute to restore Bournemouth’s lead before Wilson exploited some dreadful defending five minutes later. It was Bournemouth’s first home win of the season.
