Reacting on the allegations leveled by Civil Supplies Scam main accused Shiv Shankar Bhatt at a press conference, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Spokesperson and former MLA Srichand Sundrani said that the accused is trying to save his skin on the instigation of ‘Badlapur Sarkar’, but whatever wrong will be prove to be wrong and vice versa in the court. Sundrani in a communique, stated that from the affidavit which is being circulated in the name of statement made under Section 164 CrPC, it is aptly clear that it is being circulated with only intention to win Dantewada bye-election by maligning the image of senior BJP leaders, but the people very well know the intentions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Sundrani, in his statement, stated that a former Chief Secretary, whose name had allegedly cropped up in Civil Supplies scam, has reportedly connived with the state government in order to save his own skin. He said all these conspiracies will be definitely revealed before the people some day. Sundrani added that only one can pity on the Chief Minister’s political understanding, who terms the statements made by both Manturam Pawar and Shiv Shankar Bhatt as statements made under Section 164 CrPC.

He said in the last nine months since he’s in power he had done nothing but ‘Badlapur Politics’. The Congress government on one had is appointing Civil Supplies scam accused on higher posts and it is protecting other accused so as to carry out its revenge politics. However, in the last everything will be clear in the court. Earlier, in a press conference held at Raipur Press Club on Sunday, the prime accused of Civil Supplies Scam and former Manager in Civil Supplies Corporation Shiv Shankar Bhatt had alleged that Civil Supplies Scam is an Rs 36,000 crore scam and in quest of justice he has given the said affidavit. He said former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, former Food Minister Punnulal Mohle and former Chairman of Civil Supplies Corporation Lilaram Bhojwani are reportedly the mastermind of the scam.

Bhatt said the SIT constituted by State Government has offered him to become ‘state approver’, which he has agreed to and thereafter submitted affidavit in the court. While talking to media persons for the first time after his affidavit came to fore, Bhatt said in order to bring the truth he has opened his mouth. He said he was instrumental in exposing the Civil Supplies Scam, that’s the reason why he was made prime accused in the case. He alleged that in order to hide the PDS scam, the then state government had carried out raids in Civil Supplies Corporation. The then government had pressurized for additional procurement of 10 lakh MT paddy in 2014. Ahead of elections in 2013, 72 lakh ration cards were prepared. Despite opposition, we’re pressurized to supply rice, alleged Bhatt. He added that he has not given this affidavit under any pressure and today also he has addressed the media of his own to clarify his stand.
