Patwari to attend conference in Cambridge University

Higher Education Minister Jitu Patwari will attend Cambridge Assessment Summit of Education - Anticipating the Future of Assessment Conference at Cambridge University (UK) on September 16 and 17. In the conference, Patwari will exchange ideas with academicians from different countries. On Monday, he will discuss topics such as Cambridge University’s working with the governments and universities, digital learning and teaching, teacher development programme and Cambridge English Offer for Admission Testing at Triangle Building Cambridge Assessment. Patwari will attend various sessions on September 17. In the first session, he will take part in discussion on ‘How professional proficiency in assessment can be used to improve teaching in classroom’.
 
In the second session ‘Curriculum-2040 what topics can be taught and why’ and in the third session he will hold discussion with academicians on ‘Use of technology to improve feedback in teaching and learning process’. Patwari will visit Sheffield Sports Complex in London on September 18. On September 19, he will call on Deputy Mayor of London Rajesh Agarwal. During his stay in UK, he will also hold discussions on possibilities of investment in the field of higher education in Madhya Pradesh.
 
It may be noted that Head of Communication Skills Cambridge University Steve Macana has invited Patwari for the conference. It is noteworthy that a tripartite MoU has been signed between private universities of Madhya Pradesh, Department of Higher Education and Cambridge University to impart training in English language communication skills to teachers and students of all Government and private universities and Government colleges in Madhya Pradesh. The Higher Education Minister will be accompanied by Commissioner Higher Education Raghavendra Singh, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Private Universities Regulatory Commission M S Parihar, RGPV Vice-Chancellor Dr Sunil Kumar, NCTI Member Secretaries Sanjay Awasthi and Dr Rashmi Sharma, Marketing Manager of Tim Bank (South Asia) Apoorva Arya and Global Manager of Teacher Development Tim Bangs in the conference.
