Dreaded dacoits Babuli, Lavlesh Kol killed in encounter

Notorious dacoit Babuli Kol and his brother-in-law Lavlesh Kol, who were unleashing terror in the region since one and half decades, have died in an encounter in the forest area under jurisdiction of Dharkundi police station. Madhya Pradesh police have claimed to have killed both the dacoits in an encounter despite rumours spreading that Lali Kol, who was inducted in this gang some days ago, had killed both Babuli Kol and Lavlesh Kol. Uttar Pradesh and MP Police had announced reward of Rs 6 lakh on head of Babuli Kol and reward of Rs 1.5 lakh on head on Lavlesh Kol. Both the dreaded dacoits were a headache for M.P and UP police since this gang was involved in abduction cases.
Earlier reports indicated that gang members indulged in blood bath after dispute arose over the division of money which was collected as ransom after abduction of a farmer. However, a day before, news of dreaded dacoit Babuli injured in shoot- out had spread like wild fire in the surrounding villages. It was speculated that Lali Kol had argument with Babuli and Lavlesh over the division of money they received in return of safe release of kidnapped farmer Awdhesh Dwivedi.
Speculation was rife that Lali himself broke news of killing of Babuli and Lavlesh by him. Both bodies were lying in forest of Veerpur. It may be recalled that since farmer from Harsed village Awdhesh Dwivedi was abducted by Babuli Kol, all senior police officers of MP state including IG Chanchal Shekhar, DIG, Rewa Avinash Sharma, SP, Satna Riyaaz Iqbal, ASP, Satna Gautam Solanki, SDOP, Chitrakoot VP Singh, SHO, Nayagaon Santosh Tiwari, Majhgavaon, O P Singh, Dharkundi Pawan Kumar, Barondha, K S Tekam, Anti Dacoit team members Gopal Chaubey, Sudhanshu Tiwari were camping in the jungles. The UP police team was also camping in the forest in search of the abducted farmers.
Police ,team during combing operation in jungles, found some blood stains and after toiling hard for hours, police finally managed to locate bodies of both dacoits. It seems that other members of gang tried to carry the bodies to long distance but left the bodies and fled from the spot. Satna police informed that more then 100 cases of dacoity, murder and loot were registered in different police stations against Babuli Kol and Lavlesh Kol in MP and UP states. This gang possessed of all modern weapons including AK-47. This gang had 13 members including active and casual members.
MP police have claimed firing 35 rounds in an encounter against the dacoits in Ledri jungle and dacoits also fired 15 rounds. Babuli Kol was around 38 years of age. He was born in the year 1979 at village Kolan Tikaria. In year 2007, police arrested him for the first time on charges of helping dreaded dacoit Thokiya. While in prison, he befriended Lale Patel, member of Thokiya gang. When he came out of jail, he helped Lale Patel in fleeing from the court. Since then he was deeply involved in crime activities and later developed his own gang.He was terror in some 104 villages on border of MP and UP state s and was often compared to dreaded dacoit Dadua. Local villagers are now heaving sigh of relief since MP police claimed that entire gang has been wiped off
