India will play its first match against Japan on September 24, Korea on September 25 and Chinese Taipei on September 26 
 
Adding another feather to the victory cap of Jabalpur, international repute coach Kuldeep Singh Brar has been appointed as Coach of Indian Women’s team for FIBA Women’s Asian Cup 2019 to be organised in Bengaluru from September 24 to 29. Kuldeep Singh has been appointed by Basketball Federation of India (BFI) on the basis of his prestigious achievements. He trained the players of Indian team at a training camp organised in Bengaluru from July 26 to September 2 and September 3 to 24. Coach of Indian women’s basketball team, Kuldeep Singh Brar, while talking to ‘The Hitavada’, informed that total eight teams will participate in Asian Cup Women’s Basketball Tournament.
 
Teams have been distributed in two pools. Pool-A include hosts India, reigning winner Japan, Korea and Chinese Taipei and Pool-B consists of reigning runners-up, Australia, China, New Zealand and Philippines. India will play its first match against Japan on September 24, Korea on September 25 and Chinese Taipei on September 26. Kuldeep Singh Brar is posted as Administrator of Sports Authority of India, Jabalpur Training Centre. A large number of players trained under his guidance represented the Indian teams of different age categories.
