‘Rajyotsava’ to be celebrated at Nava Raipur

Five-day ‘Rajyotsava’ will be celebrated at Pandit Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Udyog evam Vyapar Parisar, Nava Raipur in Atal Nagar from November 1 to 5. Chief Secretary Sunil Kujur held a meeting with officials at Mantralaya on Tuesday. In the meeting, it was decided that the five-day ‘Rajyotsava’ would be organised this year. The Chief Secretary gave various instructions to the officers. Local artists and school children will perform cultural programmes during the ‘Rajyotsava’ in the evening hours. Prizes and honours will be given by the different departments at ‘Rajyotsava’ venue.
 
Trade fair, agriculture fair and Shilp Mela cum sale centre will set up at the ‘Rajyotsava’ venue. Development oriented exhibitions will be organised different departments. Local artists will be given priority in the ‘Rajyotsava’. All the departments have been directed to provide details of award winners to the Culture Department by October 31. All the departments have been given responsibility to make the event successful.
 
Additional Chief Secretaries C K Khetan, K D P Rao, Principal Secretary Gaurav Dwivedi, Principal Secretary Manoj Pingua, Secretary of Culture Department Sonmoni Borah, Raipur Divisional Commissioner GR Churendra, Raipur Collector Dr S Bharathidasan, Raipur Superintendent of Police Shaikh Arif Husen and other officers attended the meeting.
