Govt to give pattas to those sants who possess Kutiya Ashrams, Gaushalas

Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the Government will consider to give permanent pattas to those sants, who possess Kutiya Ashram, Mandir and Gaushalas. CM was addressing the Sant Samagam organised by the Adhyatm Department at Minto Hall in State capital on Tuesday. The Sadhu-Sants came from across the State in large number were present at the convention. At the outset, Computer Baba presented garlands to Kamal Nath as blessings on behalf of all the Sants. Connect Young Generation with Spiritual Power: Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that India is known in the entire world for its spiritual power.
 
This is the power, which has preserved the Unity and Diversity of our country. He further mentioned that today’s generation, which is connected with new technology and especially those which is dwelling in urban areas need to be connected with spiritual power, culture and civilisation. He urged the Sants to play an important role in this and introduce them with our thousands year old spiritual power. Need for Adhyatm Ministry was told 35 years ago in Lok Sabha: Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that during a discussion held 35 years ago in Lok Sabha, he told for the formation of Adhyatm Department. He mentioned that his intention behind this was that people all over the country could know the importance of Indian spirituality and its need in terms of unity of the country.
 
He said that as soon as he became the Chief Minister, he decided first to form Adhyatm Vibhag by merging Anand and Dharmasva Department. Chief Minister said that through this we will try to connect people in the state with our centuries old spiritual practice. Respects religion with heart not by mind: Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that religion is not a matter of politics for us. It is a matter of faith and respect for us. We want that people must connect themselves with religious beliefs and reject the politics done through it. Appreciating the Sant Samagam, he said that such conventions should be held from time to time. On the demands of the Sants, he stated that the Government will consider them and efforts will be made that none of their demands remain unfulfilled till the next convention.
 
Chairing the Sant Samgam Sammelan, the former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh expressed gratitude towards Kamal Nath’s government for the formation of Adhyatm Department. He mentioned that the spiritualism helps in building a good personality. Religion should be used to connect, not to divide people. Singh said that Sanatan Dharma” is the oldest religion in the world. “We all must contribute to preserve it. He emphasised to compensate the damage caused to the Maa Narmada River and its conservation,” he added. Moreover, Singh asked to patronise all Sanskrit schools in the state. He emphasised on the need to educate the younger generation about Sanatan Dharma and give information about other religions. For this, he urged to include the lesson ‘What is religion?’ in the curriculum. Minister for Public Relations and Adhyatm P.C. Sharma said that the State government has constituted a Math-Mandir Advisory Committee and also Narmada Trust, now the government is also going to form Tapti Trust. The honorarium of “Sant-Pujaris” has been increased three folds.
 
The campus of the Mahkaal Mandir is being developed with Rs 300 crore. One thousand Gaushalas are being constructed. Nine Dharmshalas at the cost of Rs. 26 lakh will be built on Narmada Parikrama route. Along with this, the Narmada Parikrama route will be made comfortable. Sharma stated that a Ram Path Vangaman construction scheme has been prepared. He further informed that and amount of Rs 2 .45 crore has been given for the restoration of big temples of the State. More than Rs 1.34 crore have been given to the Mela Ayojan Samitis Fair Planning Committees for fairs of religious importance. Apart from this, a scheme has been made for construction, repair and maintenance of temples of Bhilsa Wali Mata Gwalior, Surya Narayan and Bade Hanuman Mandir Jabalpur, Kundeshwar Hanuman Mandir Ujjain, Narmada Udgam Mandir Amarkantak, Ban Ganga Mandir Shivpuri and Group of Temples Datia. The President of Narmada Trust Committee, Computer Baba expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister Kamal Nath. He said that along with the formation of Adhyatm Department, the State Government has taken important decisions for the development of religious places. He further mentioned that he is confident that Kamal Nath fulfills what he says.
 
Chairman of Math-Mandir Advisory Committee Swami Subodhanand Maharaj said that in the last 15 years, no convention of this kind was organised. In the last nine months itself, the new government has taken a commendable initiative by holding the convention of “Sadhu and Sants” for the first time. Chief Minister deserves congratulations for this. He said that the steps taken by the new government for conservation of Narmada are welcoming steps. He urged the Sants to plant saplings on a large scale for environmental conservation. 
 
Religious scams will be probed: CM Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that probe will be done into scams done in the name of religion. He said that scam done in the name of Narmada will be also investigated. Kamal Nath was of the view that if someone has faith on religion then how one can do the scams? “We have to understand that character is built through our intension and emotions,” he said while addressing the biggest congregation of saints at Minto Hall in State Capital on Tuesday. He added that the person who do scams in the garb of religion could not be ‘Asthavaan’. Neither such person can respect the religion.
