81 girls selected in 4th phase of Indian Army’s recruitment rally

Total 81 girls were selected in the fourth phase of recruitment rally for Indian Army held at Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Regimental Centre (JAK RRC), on Wednesday. A total number of 168 girls attended the recruitment rally and worked hard to qualify physical test to be in the Indian Armed Forces. Recruitment Rally In-charge Colonel P Chakrawarty informed that total number of 81 girls qualified physical tests in first round of recruitment rally.
 
Medical examination of qualified girls will be carried out for next four days. Total 34 of 198 girls qualified on first day and 47 were selected on second day of recruitment rally. Medical examination of selected candidates will be carried out from September 19 to 22. Qualified candidates from medical tests will appear in Common Entrance Examination scheduled on October 26. Candidates who will qualify Common Entrance Examination and scrutiny of their personal documents and police verification will be sent for training at Military Police Centre, Bangaluru, January 1 onwards.
 
Three phases of recruitment rally were conducted at Bailgaon in Karnataka, Shillong in Meghalaya, Ambala in Haryana and fourth is being organised at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh and fifth recruitment rally will be organised in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. Around 2.5 lakh candidates applied for attending the recruitment rally but 10,000 candidates were shortlisted based on their class X results. The cut-off percentage went as high as 86%. Out of shortlisted candidates, 1,646 candidates from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Union territories of Daman, Diu, Dadar & Nagar Haveli were called for recruitment rally in Jabalpur.
