Chief Minister Baghel has ordered Raipur Collector and Superintendent of Police to conduct an investigation of plastic factories being run in populated areas of Raipur district. A delegation of Chhattisgarh Nagrik Sangharsh Samiti Raipur led by President Vishwajeet Mitra handed over a memorandum to Chief Minister Baghel at the Jan Choupal programme, demanding action against the plastic factories being run illegally in populated areas of the towns. In the memorandum, it was said that ban on plastic manufacturing was imposed by the State Government in 2017.
 
Without No Objection Certificate (NOC) of Environment Department power is being supplied to these plastic factories, the memorandum cited. The Chief Minister directed the Collector and the SP to submit a report of these plastic factories to the government soon. Baghel has declared to make Ratanpur of Bilaspur as new tehsil and Dadhi of Bemetara district as sub-tehsil. People from Ratanpur and Dadhi called on Chief Minister Baghel in the Jan Choupal at Chief Minister House on Wednesday. A delegation of people from Ratanpur led by Ratanpur Municipal Council President Asha Suryavanshi demanded the Chief Minister to make Ratanpur as new tehsil while the people from Dadhi demanded the Chief Minister to make Dadhi as sub-tehsil. The Chief Minister met various delegations and people from various parts of the state in Jan Choupal and heard their grievances and suggestions.
 
Baghel directed the officers concerned to dispose applications and memorandums. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed the officials concerned to fit artificial leg to injured B.Sc first year student Nahid Khan, who lost her one leg in a road accident. Nahid Khan, hailing from Rajnandgaon district, met Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in “Jan Chaupal” programme at Chief Minister House on Wednesday. Baghel also inquired Nahid Khan’s health condition. The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 5 lakh for artificial leg to Nahid Khan. It may be mentioned that Nahid Khan was critically injured in a road accident on May 27, in which her father Sharif Khan and Nuri Khan were killed. When Nahid Khan’s friends started collecting donation for her treatment and the news was published in newspapers.
 
The Chief Minister took the cognizance of injured Nahid and ordered her treatment under Sanjeevani Sahayata Kosh. She got treatment at a private hospital in Raipur. The weavers of Vastram Bunkar Sahkari Samiti Seoni Janjgir-Champa called on Chief Minister Baghel at the Jan Choupal and demanded financial assistance for new innovation in weaving clothes by using threads of Alsi. The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 25 lakh from his discretionary fund to the weavers for purchasing essential machines to prepare clothes by using threads of Alsi. Baghel handed over battery operated tri-cycle to Divyang Leeladhar Sahu, a resident of Chataud village under Arang block. Chief Minister Baghel sanctioned financial assistance to the needy people. Shashikant Konhare of Bilaspur was given Rs 30,000 as financial assistance and Rs 10,000 to Kamlesh Shrivastava of Jagdalpur as financial assistance. Several other people also got financial assistance in the Jan Choupal.
