CG’s Srijal Chandrakar to witness landing of Chandrayaan-2 on Moon live with PM

ISRO selects 60 students from all over India through a Quiz Competition. The winners will be watching the landing of Chandrayaan-2 on Moon live along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 7 at ISRO HQ in Bengaluru 
 
CHHATTISGARH’S Srijal Chandrakar is among the 60 odd students from all over India, who will be getting a chance to watch the landing of Chandrayaan-2 on Moon live along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 7 at ISRO HQ in Bengaluru. It is worth mentioning here that Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had organised the ISRO Quiz Competition 2019 on MyGov.in concluded on August 20, 2019. During the quiz competition, a total of 20 questions were asked and the marks were awarded on percentile basis.
 
The questions were multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and are based on general knowledge, and space science and technology. Two top-scoring students of Classes 8 to 10 from each State and Union Territory are invited to ISRO, Bengaluru Centre to watch the landing of Chandrayaan 2 on Moon on September 7, 2019, live along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to ISRO, the Vikram lander will get separated from the orbiter on Monday which will be followed by two orbit maneuvers on the lander before the powered descent will be initiated for soft landing on the lunar surface on September 7, 2019. Srijal Chandrakar, a Class 9 student, studying at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Belsondha Mahasamund district, was selected to watch Chandrayaan 2 landing with PM Narendra Modi.
 
She was short-listed along with 60 other students from all over the country through the ISRO Quiz Competition 2019. Shrijal Chandrakar, is the proud daughter of Yogesh Chandrakar, a resident of Belsondha in Mahasamund district. Yogesh Chandrakar is an employee of an insurance company. Chandrayaan-2 mission was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on July 22 2019. Srijal along with the 59 other children will be watching the landing on September 7 at 01:55 AM at ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru. Excited very much over her selection, Srijal while talking to media persons said it is a huge opportunity for her and extended her gratitude to her parents and school teachers for grooming her for the achievement.
 
Apart from her excitement to visit ISRO to witness the Landing of Chandrayaan-2 on the Moon live, she’s more excited to meet PM Modi. Never in her wildest dreams did she thought, that someday she will be meeting PM Modi, hence very excited, she added while stating that she wants to ask him as to how he carries out multi-tasking so efficiently. Srijal’s proud father Yogesh Chandrakar said he and his family members are feeling very proud and happy because of his daughter’s achievement. He said it is a great opportunity that his daughter will be meeting PM Modi and will be able to witness the landing live. He said the family is flooded with congratulation from friends and relatives.
