Incubation centre inaugurated at Bhopal School of Social Sciences

Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) has set up an incubation centre in its campus in collaboration with Nishank Incubation and Innovation centre (NIIC). BSSS-NIIC will be providing ambitious entrepreneurs the domain knowledge, training, financial support, mentorship and market access so that they bring profit businesses to the realistic business world. Main objective of Bhopal School of Social Sciences incubation centre is to develop an active ecosystem in Bhopal to inspire, support and mentor students, aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups to solve importunate problems, build up breakthrough innovations and create world-class innovations driven enterprises. Concept and theme of the Incubation Centre was much appreciated by guests as a first in nature and a novel venture by any Social Science College.
 
The theme is not only pragmatic but it will have far-reaching fruitful consequences. Major MoUs were also signed on this day with major industry partners, institutional partners and technical partners viz AIC-RNTU< AIC-AARTECH, BNest Foundation, All Industries Association, Mandideep, Athena Business Advisors LLP and Codexior. Signing of MoUs opens up new avenues for students towards mutually beneficial endeavours. BIC was inaugurated in the august presence of chief guest Saloni Sidana, (IAS), Guest of Honour Vishwachandra Dubey, Nodal Officer MSME Bhopal and Principal, BSSS, Dr Fr John PJ. Principal Dr Fr John P J said, “We support businesses of our students serving the Indian mass market through timely training, counselling, mentoring, coaching, consulting, outreach, networking, exchange programs, boot camps, awareness drives, exhibitions, conferences, thematic events, evaluation, co-incubation, etc.” He further said that the setting up of incubation centre is an initiative to help and support student start-up ideas, thus contributing to making better equipped citizens of the society. Entrepreneurial Development Cell Incharge Dr Smitha Pillai informed that college incubation and innovation centre will provide domain knowledge, guidance to financial support and mentorship to the students for their start-up ideas.
