Singar claimed that Digvijay Singh is running the Government from behind the curtains

The statement of Forest Minister Umang Singar claiming that Digvijay Singh is running the Government from behind the curtains has brought political turmoil into the corridors of power in Madhya Pradesh. It has come at a time when BJP has scaled up attack on the Government that it is unable to handle the affairs in a proper manner. Needless to say that BJP has grabbed Singar’s statement with both hands. Initially, Congress government is in an embarrassing situation after the news came out that Digvijay Singh had written letters to ministers, seeking to know about the status of things recommended by him. Without naming Digvijay Singh, Congress Spokesman Ravi Saxena told ‘The Hitavada’ that if any leader wants to say anything to any minister then he should say in person to the concerned minister and if any letter is written to a minister then it should not become viral.

On Forest Minister Umang Singar’s sensational statement, he told that it looks that Umang Singar’s statement has been misunderstood. Sources in Congress told that Digvijay Singh shadow is being felt on Government and Umang Singh’s statement has blown the lid in this regard. Notably, a letter written by Digvijay Singh to ministers had gone viral on August 30. Singh in letters had requested ministers to give the time of meeting to him and had also sought action taken on letters written by him on various subjects including transfers. In the meantime, Deputy President of Congress Media Cell Abhay Dubey told that everyone knows that long career of Chief Minister Kamal Nath has been transparent and there is no question that a person stand’s behind the curtain in his public life. CM Kamal Nath does not love things in curtain as he is a staunch believer of ethics.

“CM Kamal Nath discusses with everyone but he takes the decisions in public interest,” he claimed. Meanwhile, BJP State President Rakesh Singh stated that BJP has been claiming from starting onwards that whoever may be the CM but there are more persons acting as CM in Congress government. The confession of Forest Minister Umang Singar is the proof in this regard. As there is more than one CM, hence, a constitutional crisis has surfaced in State.

During elections, Congress gave the message of being united but it cannot hide the things for long and now they are popping out. He also claimed that Congress government if collapses then it will collapse due to internal bickering. As in letter addressed to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, Umang Singar had stated that Digvijay Singh is trying to destabilise the Congress government. In Congress, every leader is trying to run government as per his will. ‘The Hitavada’ tried to contact Forest Minister Umang Singar over the burning issue but he has not responded to the repeated calls made to him.
