Three persons, eight goats rescued from flooded Kaliasot river

NDRF team members carrying out rescue operation to save three persons, including a woman and their goats, late on Sunday night. Three persons and their cattle got stuck on other side of river after river came into spate.

Three persons, including a woman and eight goats, were rescued by team of NDRF by using boat in Kaliasot river late on Sunday night. They got stuck on other side of the river owing to sudden rise in water level. NDRF carried out rescue operation by using the boats.Sources said that three persons, who have gone to graze their goats, got stuck owing to sudden flooding of Kaliasot river on late Sunday evening. When Misrod police came to know about the incident in night, it passed the information to Bhopal Municipal Corporation and NDRF.
 
When NDRF team got the information, it rushed to the spot without wasting any time. The team left by equipping itself with necessary things like boat, rope, flood light, trained divers etc. As the time was running out, the threat to the lives of stranded persons was increasing. The team reached on spot and started the rescue operation by using boat to save 3 persons and eight goats. 20-member NDRF team was led by inspector Sanjeev Kumar.
