Man killed on suspicion of illicit affair

A man was killed in village Baghragi under the jurisdiction of Kundam police station on suspicion of illicit relationship. Deceased was identified as Ramnath Markam (55), son of Lammu Singh Markam, resident of village Gurriya Talab Mohalla, Kunam. Accused arrested by Kundam police has been identified as Abimanyu alias Mannu (45), son of Arjun alias Nanhe Singh Maravi, resident of village Gurriya Kundam. According to Kundam police, on September 2 in the evening, information that an injured person was lying near a tea kiosk a village Gourriya Talab Mohalla road. The police team rushed to spot and found an injured person was lying on road and was bleeding from head injuries.
 
He was identified as Ramnath Markam by his nephew Bharat Singh Markam (36), a resident of Gourriya Colony. Bharat Singh informed the police that around 5 pm, all his family members assembled and were discussing daily chores after returning from farm work. Meanwhile his uncle Ramnath Markam also came in and joined the discussion. Around 6 pm, Ramnath went to Gurriya crossing to buy Bidi. On the way, this incident occurred. Informing about senior officials about the incidents, as per direction of Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh, a team was constituted for further investigation in the case and search for accused. The drive was initiated under the guidance of Additional SP Dr Rai Singh Narvaria, Deputy SP, Headquarters, Malkhan Singh, and investigation was initiated by SHO Kundam, Satish Patel with investigation team. While the family members were interogatted by police, Bharat Singh informed that Abimanyu alias Mannu Singh Maravi had suspicion that his wife and Ramnath Markam were in illegitimate relation. In this regard, Abimanyu had an argument with Ramnath around six days ago.
 
He raiseds suspicion that Abimanyu had killed his uncle. On this police got a tip-off that Abhimanyu was hiding in forest of Mehgavan. On search, Abiymanyu tried to escape after seeing police inside the forest. He was arrested. He confessed that he had killed Ramnath Markam on the suspicion of illegitimate relationship with his wife. He confessed that he attacked Ramnath while he was on his way to Gauriyaa Square. He followed him from Bharat’s house and on finding him alone near the tea kiosk, he attacked him with a stone. Ramnath sustained injury on his head and fell down on the road bleeding. On report of Bharat Singh Maravi, a case of section 302 of IPC was filed against accused Abimanyu, son of Arjun Singh Maravi and he was arrested for further interrogation. In solving this case, Kundam SHO, Satish Patel, Deputy Inspector, M P Shrivastava, Shrichand Maravi, ASI Chokhelal, Constable Santosh Shah, Prince Patel, Jai Prakash Yadav, Teerath Raghuvanshi and Jogeshwar Upadhyay rendered support.
