History-sheeter Yashin Ali held, paraded on streets

absconding criminal Yashin Ali was on Wednesday arrested by Raipur Police from the city’s bus stand area. The arrested history-sheeter is friends with several law enforcers, including senior police personnel in Raipur and intellectuals including several journalists. When SSP Shaikh Arif Husen was asked about the senior police personnel having friendship with the history-sheeter on Facebook, the officer said that he will look after the matter.
“A police team led by Civil Lines City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Trilok Bansal arrested Yashin Ali from Raipur bus stand area. Several criminal offences against Yashin were pending with separate police stations in Raipur,” said police sources. Raipur Police also paraded Yashin on streets before producing him in a local court.
“The history-sheeter was produced in a local court from where he was sent to judicial custody,” said CSP Bansal. Earlier, a police team went to arrest Yashin at ‘Irani Dera’ was manhandled by women, which led to his escape. In a wake of the incident, police registered an offence under relevant sections of IPC and arrested 24 women indulged in the crime. Similarly, a group of notorious criminals attacked a police team from Civil Lines in April this year when it was in task of taking action against cricket betting operational at Raja Talab locality. In this connection, police booked Mehndi Hassan, a relative of Yashin, and others.
