Their Godown premises in Rava bhata was also searched,” highly-placed sources in DGGI told The Hitavada requesting anonymity. According to the sources, the whole operation collectively overseen was Additional Director General (ADG) Ajay Pandey and Joint Director Nem Singh saw the raid teams being headed by DGGI Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) Gopal Joshi. “Incriminate data evidencing the clandestine clearances of huge quantities of plywood were recovered from the shop promises in Janak bada, without payment of applicable GST.

Both the said firms where basically involved in trading of plywood, and have also procured the same from outside the states like Haryana and Kerala,” the sources added. Although the exact quantum of the evasion has not been ascertained, sources averred that it may run into crores as the firms have traded the goods across State. Just fortnight ago, DGGI sleuths had detected evasion of GST in another trading firm, also dealing in plywood and laminates, the sources recalled.
