Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) Main, to be held with changed pattern on January 6, 2020. Till this year, based on JEE score, one get admissions to BE/BTech and BArch courses. This year, the third programme B Planning also has been included in it. As per the eligibility criterion for BArch and B Planning courses and according to the opinion of Subject Experts, a few changes in the pattern of the question paper and number of questions for BE/BTech, BArch and B Planning have been approved by the JEE Apex Board (JAB). Students will have to appear for any one, or two, or all three papers, as per their choice.
 
The latest pattern of question paper(s) for all three type of courses will be -- Examination will have two types of questions in the examination – Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and numerical value type questions. No change has been made in the marking scheme. Meanwhile, National Testing Agency (NTA) that conducts JEE has opened the registration window for the January session of JEE Main 2020. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited the applications for JEE Mains 2020. Registration for the first level of engineering entrance exam has already started.
 
First session of JEE Main will be held between January 6 and 11, 2020, while the April session examinations will be held from April 3 to 9, 2020. Candidates can apply for the primary level test for entrance to renowned institutions like IITs, CFTIs, NITs, on-line on jeemain.nic.in or nta.ac.in. Last date to apply for JEE Main 2020 is September 30, 2019. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE (Main) 2020 Examination twice for admission to undergraduate programs in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), etc., in the next academic year, 2020-2021. Examinations for both the sessions will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode only, except that the Drawing Test for BArch will be held in Pen and Paper mode or off-line mode.
