Two blasts create panic in Kolar localities

It is from a week that sound similar to blasts in earth are creating panic in some parts of Kolar. But two blast sounds which came from beneath the earth created panic among local Kolar residents during late Wednesday night. Many people came out of their homes, fearing for their lives. The sounds coming from beneath the earth and tremors have created panic in the hearts of people living in affected belt of Kolar. The local residents of affected region in Kolar are living in a state of fear. The earthen activities start anytime, instilling fear in their hearts.
 
When contacted by ‘The Hitavada’ Professor of Geology at Government Hamdia College, Alpana Trivedi told that she does not see the earth related activities happening in Kolar belt as activities with geological aspect. The activities seem to be some kind of local disturbance. Then also, geologists should monitor the situation and try to find out the root cause behind such kind of activities.The two deafening sounds that came from beneath the earth during late Wednesday night created panic among residents living in Kolar area’s Good Shepherd colony, Banjari area, Sagar Complex etc. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’, Good Shepherd Colony resident Charles Daniel told that the first blast-like sound from beneath the earth came at 11.50 pm and people got feared.
 
People also felt vibration in earth. But the second sound was intense enough to force people to rush out of their homes and stand in open area. This intense sound was heard at 12.14 am. “The two blasts-like sounds which came from beneath the earth were heard in localities in Banjari area, Good Shepherd Colony, Sagar Complex etc,” he told. Expressing concern on earth related activities happening in affected parts of Kolar, he told that it is from a week that earth related things are happening but hitherto, no one from government level came to check the things. Now local residents are planning to approach local representatives.
