Continuing the drive to make Madan Mahal Hills encroachment-free, the district administration along with Jabalpur Municipal Corporation, on Friday razed as many as six permanent structures situated in Bajrang Nagar. Likewise, the administration also got vacated other houses situated in the area.

 

 

The district administration is executing the joint drive in Bajrang Nagar and removing permanent structures, which got erected illegally on the hills. The administration had on Friday dismantled as many as 6 big dwellings.

 

The administration along with the Municipal Corporation is carrying out the joint drive uninterrupted to remove illegal permanent structures mushrooming on various parts of Madan Mahal hills. Anti-encroachment squad of JMC is using big machines to raze unauthorized dwellings under the supervision of senior officials. The JMC employees are also toiling hard to dismantle illegal structures manually and making efforts to remove maximum structures regularly.

 

Deputy Commissioner of JMC, Rakesh Ayachi informed that the anti-encroachment squad on Friday continued the drive in Bajrang Nagar and removed 6 big houses. He said the anti-encroachment squad is using big Hitachi and JCB machines to remove maximum dwellings regularly. On Friday the squad razed multi-storey houses situated on hills in Bajrang Nagar. He said the JMC employees have been executing the drive unhindered and razing unauthorized structures.

 

The Deputy Commissioner further informed that people living in Bajrang Nagar are vacating their dwelling and taking away doors, windows, wooden planks, grills from them. He said the squad would continue the drive and would remove remaining permanent structures situated in Bajrang Nagar.

 

He said the district administration is conducting the joint drive following the directions of the High Court, directed local administration to make Madan Mahal hills encroachment free. The administration has decided to develop the hills as tourist spot. For the same, it has planned to develop ropeway and other such things to attract tourists and conserve the heritage situated on Madan Mahal hills.
