Rains, accompanied by thunder activities, hit Bhopal

A spell of moderate rainfall lashed Bhopal during noon hours on Friday. All of a sudden black clouds covered the entire sky. After sometime, rains started to pound the city. Weather Department said that city recorded rainfall of 3 cm. Rains also hit many other parts of State. Meanwhile, Weather Department has issued warning of heavy to very heavy rains in isolated places of State. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely in isolated places of Ashok Nagar, Badwani, Dhar, Guna, Harda, Hoshangabad, Khandwa, Khargone, Raisen, Ratlam, Vidisha, Anuppur, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Dindori, Jabalpur, Mandla, Narsinghpur, Seoni districts respectively. Rains and thunder activities are likely in maximum places of Hoshangabad, Betul, Harda, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Mandla, Katni, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singrauli, Anuppur, Dindori, Umaria, Shahdol districts respectively. Rains are also likely to lash some places of Indore, Dhar, Khandwa, Khargone, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Badwani, Burhanpur, Gwalior, Datia, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Shivpuri, Ujjain, Ratlam, Shajapur, Agar, Dewas, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Bhind, Sheopurkalan, Morena districts respectively.

In last twenty hours, monsoon remained active in eastern Madhya Pradesh. Rains battered Jabalpur, Shahdol, Rewa and Hoshangabad divisions respectively. Rains also occurred in many places of Sagar, Bhopal divisions. Silwani recorded rainfall of 12 cm followed by Hoshangabad (11 cm), Balaghat (9 cm), Ganjbasoda, Singrauli, Jethari (7 cm each), Anuppur, Mandla, Bareli (6 cm each), Seoni (5 cm), Harda, Udaipura, Rajnagar, Chhattarpur (4 cm each) respectively. The forecast for Bhopal city says that sky would be cloudy and rainfall activities are on cards. Weather Department told that a trough line is passing through Guna and Jabalpur. Low pressure area persists on Odisha. Wind sharing of east and west winds is there hence thunder activities are happening. Weather conditions are likely to remain same for next twenty four hours. This monsoon has brought bountiful rains to state, putting it in excess rainfall category.
