CP office, MIL contribute Rs 78.35 lakh to CMRF

Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister, paid a visit to the city on Saturday evening. He visited various Ganeshotsav pandals and also accepted cheques of contributions made by Commissionerate of Police, Nagpur city, and MIHAN India Limited (MIL) towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay, Commissioner of Police, handed over cheque of Rs 53,35,604/- to the Chief Minister as contribution towards CMRF.

The amount has been collected by the officers and employees under CP office, Nagpur. Chinmay Pandit, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Traffic); Vikram Sale, DCP (Headquarters); and Vivek Masal (DCP), accompanied Dr Upadhyay. Suresh Kakani, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) handed over cheque of Rs 25 lakh to Fadnavis. He handed over another cheque of Rs 1,28,500/- of the amount collected by MIL staffers, to Fadnavis. B S Mulekar, Senior Airport Manager; Prakash Patil, Additional Collector; S V Chahande, Advisor (Technical); S K Chatterjee, Chief Engineer; Amit Kasatwar, Abid Ruhi, Suraj Shinde, Laxminarayan Bhat accompanied Kakani.
 
Earlier, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Guardian Minister; Dr Sanjeev Kumar, Divisional Commissioner; Ashwin Mudgal, District Collector; Abhijit Bangar, Municipal Commissioner; Sheetal Ugale, Chairperson of Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority; welcomed Fadnavis on his arrival at Nagpur airport. Fadnavis visited various Ganeshotsav pandals in city and participated in ‘aarti’ at some places. He visited Ganeshotsav mandals in Narendra Nagar, Sunderban, Manish Nagar, Shyam Nagar etc. Ashray Utsav Samiti handed over cheque of Rs 31,000/- to Fadnavis as contribution towards CMRF. Sandip Joshi, Chairman of Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation; Avinash Thakre, Vishakha Mohod, Pankaj Thorat, Mozarkar accompanied Fadnavis.
