Another accused involved in case of attack, loot with businessman arrested

Belkhera police have arrested another accused in the case of attack and loot with a businessman in Jhalon village, on Sunday. Arrested has been identified as Durgesh alias Durgu Lodhi (22), son of Bhav Singh Lodhi, a resident of Belkhera.
 
 
It may be noted that, on July 21, 2019, a man named Ashish Jain (19), resident of Jhalon lodged a complaint that he is owner of Siddharth Traders and engaged in trading of cement. On July 20 night, he locked his shop and was returning with his servant on Activa scooter. They were pasing through Matanpur village where three unidentified men suddenly attacked them with baseball bats. He and his servant fell down on the road when miscreants opened fire in air and threatened them to life. Before he learnt their intentions miscreants picked-up bag from Activa carrying cash of Rs 95,000 and accounts books and managed to escape from the spot. In the attack, he and his servant Mauni Yadav sustained multiple injuries.
 
 
Belkhera police had registered a case under Section 394 of the IPC and started investigation to identify and apprehend the accused. Investigating the case, police team under the supervision of Additional SP (Rural), Dr. Raisingh Narvaria and SP, Amit Singh reached the spot and started investigation into the case. Continuing a thorough search, police team succeeded in apprehending four of the five accused named Ranjit Singh Lodhi, Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Ajit Singh Thakur and Shubham Sen and retrieved Rs. 60,000 of the looted cash, two country-made revolvers, a live cartridge, two motorcycles and five mobile handsets while another accused named Durgesh alias Durgu Lodhi was absconding. In a rigorous search, police nabbed the absconding criminal and seized a country-made revolver, two live cartridges and cash of Rs 25,000 from the accused. It may be noted that Durgesh Lodhi and Shubham Sen conducted reiki for loot incident and Ranjit Singh Lodhi, Dharmendra Lodhi and Ajit Thakur materialised the loot.
