Prediction of heavy rainfall in next 24 hoursn Staff Reporter

The low pressure area created over the Odisha and Chhattsigarh has led to occurrence of heavy downpour in area while 54 inch rain occurred so far has crossed the average rainfall of season which is 52 inch. The meteorological department has warned that heavy downpour would occur in district in next 24 hours. Rain and thundershowers would occur in isolated areas of division in next 24 hours.
 
 
The maximum temperature recorded in city was 27.5 degree Celsius which was 4 degree less than the normal maximum temperature. Whereas the maximum temperature recorded on the same day in previous year was 26.4 degree Celsius. However, minimum temperature remain one degree above normal minimum temperature due to humid and hot weather. Minimum temperature recorded on Sunday was 23.6 degree Celsius. Whereas, minimum temperature recorded on the same day in previous year was 21.6 degree Celsius.

In view of weather forecast, Collector Bharat Yadav has declared holiday in all Government and non Government schools for students in Jabalpur district on Monday.
 
 
Incessant rainfall occurred in city since morning due to which low lying areas of city were inundated in rain water. A total 42mm rainfall occurred between 8.30 am to 5.30 am on Sunday. Whereas, net rainfall occurred in this monsoon season is 1381.4 mm (54 inch). It may be mentioned that a total 26.4 mm rainfall had occurred on the same day in previous year while 1043.5 mm rainfall was registered in season.
 
 
The relative humidity recorded in morning was 100 percent while relative humidity recorded in the evening was 98 percent. The sun raise was registered at 5.55 am while sun set was registered at 6.19 pm. South western wind is blowing with speed of 2 Km per hour.
