Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Tuesday fined Rs 5,000 each on two dhabas at Tatibandh. The dhabas were fined for dumping the waste in open. RMC Zone-8 Public Works Department and Health Department staffers inspected the restaurants, hotels and Dhabas of the Tatibandh area. Zone Sub-Engineer Abhishek Gupta informed that there was a complaint that MP Dhaba and Khana Kothi weren’t giving the waste to garbage truck; instead they dumped the waste in open.
 
In the inspection, RMC team found the dhaba owners were throwing the waste nearby their establishment in the open area. So, the officials fined Rs 5,000 on each of them. Hotel Piccadilly was also slapped a penalty of Rs 5,000. Furthermore, Rs 500 was fined on each 16 tire shops and vendors from AIIMS to Tatibandh Chowk for not keeping dustbin. RMC installs green mats at gothan Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) has installed green mats at gothan of Gokul Nagar to protect cattle from chilling cold wind.
 
RMC Commissioner Shiv Anant Tayal on Tuesday inspected the Gokul Nagar to review the arrangements. Zone-6 Commissioner Vinay Mishra stated that presently there are 600 cattle at the gothan and a veterinarian has been appointed to look after them. They have covered the cow sheds with green mat to protect the cows from cold wave. RMC Commissioner Tayal also have necessary instructions to his subordinates. Tayal also suggested arranging bonfire in the night.
