Aruna Sethi reviews works at BSP

Aruna Sethi, Chief Advisor (Cost), Ministry of Finance, Government of India arrived on a visit to Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), accompanied by P K Aggarwal, Additional Chief Advisor (Cost) and Jaybrata Bose, Advisor (Cost). On Thursday morning, Advisor Sethi and the other senior officers from Ministry of Finance interacted with Chief Executive Officer of BSP, Anirban Dasgupta and Executive Directors of the Plant at CEO Conference Hall.
A presentation on overview of Bhilai Steel Plant’s performance was made before the Chief Advisor and accompanying officials. Earlier, Chief Advisor planted a sapling at Bhilai Niwas. Following the interaction and a safety briefing at Safety Excellence Centre inside the Plant, Sethi and accompanying officials visited the Plant, taking keen interest in the operations of Ore Handling Plant - Part B, Coke Oven Battery 11, Blast Furnace 8, Steel Melting Shop 3.
In the post lunch period, Chief Advisor Sethi and accompanying Ministry of Finance officials visited Rail and Structural Mill and Universal Rail Mill where they took keen interest in production and loading of rails. Sethi later visited the steel township, Akshay Patra where mid-day meals are prepared for school children with support from BSP and Siyan Sadan Old Age Home run by the Plant as part of its CSR activities.
