CRACKING whip against miscreants involved in manufacturing of country liquor. A joint team of Excise Department and police raided a country liquor manufacturing kiln at Chandmari Bhatta. The team seized 1000 kilogram of Mahua Lahan along with other ingredients used to prepare country liquor. Two women were arrested while the men operating the unit managed to flee from the spot. Action against manufacturing of county liquor is an outcome of the directives issued by Collector Bharat Yadav against liquor mafia and organised crime.
 
According to information, a joint of team of administration and police under the direction of Assistant Excise Commissioner S N Dubey and G L Marawi, Incharge Control Room, raided a country liquor manufacturing kiln at Chandmari Bhatta. By the time the team could reach the location the men operating the kiln managed to flee from the spot as cops apprehended two women identified as Leela Bai Kuchbandhiya and Reeta Kuchbandhiya. Two liquor kilns were destroyed by the joint team.
 
Cops seized a huge stock of 1000 kilogram of Mahua Lahan along with other ingredients used to make country liquor. Raw material seized could have produced 1000 liter of country liquor. Action by the joint team has caused panic in the region as two women nabbed have been framed under Section 34 of Excise Act. The joint team comprised Ramji Pandey Assistant District Excise Officer, Ramayan Diwedi SI Excise, Neeraj Dubey, Shweta Singh Tiwari, Giriraj Dhurvey Marawi, Sudhir Mishra, Ravi Shankar Marwai and others.
