STATE BJP President Rakesh Singh on Thursday called upon party office-bearers and workers to make high efforts for participation of maximum number of people from every panchayat of the district in the public meeting to be addressed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 12. Addressing a meeting of rural unit of the party, Singh said that the BJP National President is arriving in the city to create awareness on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
 
He said the Congress along with other Opposition parties have been creating confusion on CAA. Hence, our senior party leaders have been visiting different cities of the country and creating public awareness. Accordingly, to apprise citizens of Jabalpur district about CAA facts, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is visiting the city on Sunday. He asked party office-bearers and workers to visit door-to-door and invite people for a public meeting to be held at Garrison Ground on Sunday. He urged the party workers to ensure that maximum people from every village Panchayat reach the ground to listen to our National President so that the environment of confusion and fear created by the Congress could be ended.
 
 
He said our country has a strong and capable leadership like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah who have been constantly making efforts to take India on top position in the world. It is an outcome of these efforts that the Government took a number of historic decisions at the start of its second tenure. Citizenship Amendment Act is one of such moves in the interest of the country. Singh said people are eager to listen to the Union Home Minister on CAA. Hence, we must make every effort so that maximum people reach the venue and informed about CAA. Those present in the meeting were Organisational Secretary Shailendra Barua, Rural President, Subhash Tiwari, General Secretary Rajesh Rai, Rajesh Dahia, Ashish Patel, Sandeep Shukla, Bharat Mishra, Sandeep Patel, Rammani Singh Baghel, Kumar Neeraj and others.
