JNAU bags coveted award for innovative works

JAWAHARLAL Nehru Agriculture University (JNAU) has been decorated with an international repute award presented by Multinational Fertiliser and Pesticide Company ‘Dhanuka’ for its innovations in agriculture and farming techniques. The award was presented in a ceremony held at ICAR Headquarters, New Delhi.
Union Minister of Water Resource Gajendra Singh Shekhawat presented a felicitation plaque along with Rs 2.5 lakh cheque to Vice Chancellor of JNAU Dr Pradeep Kumar Bisen. Vice Chancellor Dr Bisen have taken a motivating decision to utilise fund of Rs 2.5 lakh to provide gold medal to students in the field of skill development. In the term of Dr P K Bisen as Vice Chancellor of JNAU this is the third international reputed award bestowed upon JNAU.
Earlier, JNAU received Sardar Patel Best University Award, ninth ranking amongst 71 State Agriculture Universities and All India Agriculture University Association presented Best University Award. On arrival of JNAU Vice Chancellor Dr P K Bisen from New Delhi, JNAU team accorded rousing welcome and celebrated. He urged University officials, scientists, professors, students and researchers to work devotedly on enhancing income of farmers. On the occasion, Dr Dheerendra Khare Dean Faculty of Agriculture Science, Registrar, Ashok Ingle, Accounts Comptroller, Dr Ajay Khare, Director Extension Services, Dr (Mrs) Om Gupta, Director Farms, Dr Deep Pehalwan, Dean College of Agriculture, Dr R M Sahu, Dean College of Agricultural Engineering, Dr R K Nema, Dean Students’ Welfare, Dr Amit Sharma, Director Bio-Technology Centre, Dr LPS Rajput, Dr M S Bhale, Dr Sunil Nahatkar, Engineer Sharad Jain, Dr Yogesh Mohan Sharma, Dr Anay Rawat and others were present.
