Akhil Bharatiya Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu (CKP) Madhyavarti Sanstha and CKP Sabha, Nagpur, have jointly organised two-day 18th ‘Samaj Unnati Parishad, Nagpur-2020’.

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and MSMEs, will inaugurate the convention at

5.30 pm on Saturday at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines. Air Chief Marshal (retd) Anil Tipnis, former

Air Chief of India, will preside overthe meet. Sandip Joshi, Mayor, will be the chief guest at the inaugural

ceremony. Prof Uday Gadkari, noted architect, is Chairman of Reception Committee.

Ahead of formal inauguration of the meet on Saturday, a ‘CKP GauravYatra’ will be taken out from Laxmi Bhavan Square to Baji Prabhu Deshpande’s statue in Ram Nagar.

The rally will begin at 3.30 pm. After the inaugural ceremony, a musical event ‘CKP Swarjhankar’ has been arranged at 9 pm.

The second-day events (some simultaneous) of the convention will beheld at Swagat Lawns, Palm Road, Civil Lines on January 12 (Sunday). At 9.30 am, women’s convention and cultural programmes will be held. At 11.30 am, a youth meet will be held. At 10 am, a meet of CKP entrepreneurs and businessmen will be held. Open session and felicitation of dignitaries will be held at 2 pm. The convention will conclude at 4.30 pm.
