Collector Bharat Yadav, on Sunday visited Nayagaon area and sought detailed information of efforts being made by the Forest Department to trap leopard. During inspection he held discussion over constant monitoring, cameras fixed to track Leopard, deployed employees and other arrangements. He took information of dates and locations on which the Leopard was trapped in cameras. Divisional Forest Officer, Ravindra Mani Tripathi was also present on during inspection.
 
It may be noted that nearly 2000 persons live in the residential area. The menace of Leopard is continues since November 2019. But, till the date the Forest Department has failed to drive out the Leopard from the residential area. Residents of entire Rampur area are scared to venture out of their houses. They are deeply concerned about safety, especially the safety of school going children who are always under threat of being attack by the Leopard.
