“Wasudev Kutumbakam espoused in our Oriental culture has helped in preserving the Indian values from the onslaught over the years. The eternal truth and continuous newness is what keeps our culture alive and relevant during all times,” said Padma Shri Dr Vijay Bhatkar at the valedictory function of All India Oriental Conference 2020 on Sunday.

The programme, organised by Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU), Ramtek, was held at Kavivarya Suresh Bhat auditorium, Reshimbagh, on Sunday. Satyawrat Shastri, R C Sinha, Sukdev Sharma, Haridutta Sharma, Prof Chandrakant Shukla, Prof Radhavallabh Tripathi, Gautam Patle, President, AIOC, Saroja Bhat, Secretary, Vice Chancellor Prof. Srinivasa Varakhedi and Prof Madhusudan Penna also were on the dais. “After studying various languages one can say with definite authority that Oriental education is the best owing to its diversity in thought and appeal,” added Dr Bhatkar. “I appeal the scholars of Oriental thought to help establish vastness and depths of our values through proper research and put it across the world,” stressed Dr Bhatkar. “Currently, we are caught between western and oriental education, but the greatness of our thoughts does not need any certification as today, the world itself is speaking what our ancestors had put it across in Upanishads centuries ago.
