THREE fire incidents were reported at three separate places in the city on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. More than a dozen parked vehicles and two low-floor buses were gutted in Chuna Bhatti and Bharat Mata Chouraha respectively whereas fire broke out at the office of mouth freshener making company which was raided and seized by EOW two days ago in Govindpura Industrial area. In the first incident, fire broke out at BCLL’s low floor bus depot at Bharat Mata Square late on Saturday night in which two parked red buses were torched completely.
 
Alert duty staff managed to remove remaining other parked buses averting a tragedy. After fire broke out fire brigade was informed and fire tender vehicles were rushed to the spot and it took more than an hour to douse the fire in which two buses were completely gutted. CCTV cameras were also damaged inside the bus while other CCTV cameras installed at the depot failed to provide any detail as they were situated at a long distance. A complaint has been lodged with the police. In initial investigation nothing has been found which led to the devastating fire.
 
Buses were of Capital roadways which were operational. CEO of BCLL Pawan Kumar Singh said that fire broke out at 3 am and the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained and it would be enquired that how the buses caught fire. Another incident was reported from Kolar Colony of Chuna Bhatti area where unidentified miscreants torched more than a dozen vehicles parked outside houses late on Saturday night. SHO of Chuna Bhatti Chain Singh Raghuvansi said people whose two-wheelers were torched include Rahul Patel, Vipin, Vickey, Santosh Thakur, Gopal, Ajay Joshi, Deepak, Chotu Raikwar, Rajesh Malviya, Dharmendra, Deepu and Akki. Next morning, angry locals reached Kolar Tiraha and staged road blockade by keeping their torched vehicles on road as they were irked over the fact that even after informing Fire Department, no fire tender rushed to the spot due to which their vehicles were completely damaged.
 
They demanded to call SDM concerned to provide compensation to vehicle owners. Meanwhile, a massive fire broke out at a mouth freshener making company at Govindpura Industrial area in which goods worth lakhs were gutted. Raw material, gunny sacks, machinery and documents were also damaged in fire. There were no reports of anybody getting injured. Two days ago EOW had raided three gutka companies for tax evasion, including Rajshree Gutka Company which caught fire at around 12 in the night. More than a dozen fire tender vehicles worked hard for more than three hours to douse the fire. Ashoka Garden police were informed and in initial investigation police were not able to give any reason behind the fire. At the time of incident security guard was deployed who informed company officials and later Police and Fire Department. Security guard was deployed after EOW conducted raid at the company. Further investigation has been started.
