Even such girls carry the scar of rejection only because of deformity. However, Jain Club started conducting surgery camps to correct cleft lip and other such deformities and to restore smile on faces of countless many. Today, the surgeons from USA on the invitation of Jain Club come to Nagpur to perform procedures to change life of those with cleft lip. Most of the time, parents whose wards born with this particular deformity thought of correcting the same, but as there were myths about surgeries in such cases, they don’t take him to surgeons. Such child grows up, but because of his looks people run away from him.

Such people decide to get done the corrective surgery. In girls’ cases they suffer mentally as they face rejection as a bride. There are many such examples to tell about such positive changes. Thanks to Jain Club and their office-bearers Immediate Past President Sanjay Pugalia, Imm Past Secretary Hemendra Badani, Vice Presidents Surendra Lodha and Shailesh Lashkare, Treasurer Sanjay Nahata, Joint Secretary Santosh Gelda and Dhiraj Maloo, PRO Atul Kotecha, Ex-Committee Members Anil Parakh, Subhash Kotecha, Rajnish Jain, Rajay Surana, Sudhir Shehlot, Ravindra Maloo, Shailendra Marothi, Manish Chhallani, Dhawal Kocher, Gautam Kothari, Sudhir Surana (Co-opt) who are taking efforts to bring the smile on the faces of these children and their families.

While talking to the ‘The Hitavada’ the organisers said, “Every year 500 to 700 people visit camp and around 200 get the benefit. This surgery is very delicate and while performing, it is to be seen whether patient can be benefitted or not. Some patients came in their late age. In such cases performing surgery becomes difficult. People from Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and other parts also attend the camp and avail benefit.
