Jain Club in association with Bharatiya Jain Sanghatna, Shri Bhavani Hospital, Pardi, Shrimati Shantadevi Dhadhdha family, Seema Nitin Chhajed family and Mamata Rishi Chhajed family in memory of Manoharlalji Dhadhdha has been organising free camps of surgery to be performed on children born with the problem of deformed lip and palate. Expert doctors from USA are invited to perform procedure who correct the deformities of such children at the camp that began on Monday.
 
The camp will continue on Tuesday too. The camp was inaugurated by MLA Krishna Khopde. Mayor Sandip Joshi, MLA Mohan Mate, social worker and head of Go Gas Nitin Khara, Chairman of Wardhman Bank Anil Parekh, Director of Topworth Group Surendra Lodha, Deputy Mayor Manisha Kothe, Chairman of Bhavani Hospital Pandurang Meher, Secretary Nitin Araspure, President of Jain Club Dr Sunil Parekh, Secretary Rajan Dhadhdha, social worker Sharad Bagdi were present.
 
The Mayor called this activity as a service to humanity. He assured the organisers, from next year, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) also would become a part of the activity. Joshi admired the initiative of Jain Club which is known for its philanthropic approach. Krishna Khopde, Mohan Mate, Nitin Khara also expressed their views. Sunil Parekh made introductory speech. Rajnish Jain compered the programme. Rajan Dhadhdha proposed a vote of thanks. Imm Past Secretary Hemendra Badani, Vice-Presidents Surendra Lodha and Shailesh Lashkare, Treasurer Sanjay Nahata, Joint Secretary Santosh Gelda and Dhiraj Maloo, PRO Atul Kotecha, ex-members of the committee -- Subhash Kotecha, Rajay Surana, Ravindra Maloo, Shailendra Marothi, Manish Chhallani, Vinod Kocher, Gautam Kothari, Sudhir Surana (Co-opt), Pramod Tated, Anish Chhajed, Harshit Bhansali, Naresh Bharut, Nagesh Aasani, Pramod Kankariya, Ramesh Kocher and others are working hard for success of the camp. On the inaugural day, around 1,800 people registered their names.
 
The organisers made all the arrangements of food and stay of the patients and their families. A team, led by Larry Philip Weinstein, including Dr Amol Patel, Mukesh Hatwar, Sangeeta Bijlani and their colleagues were involved in conducting procedure. Every year 500 to 700 people avail benefit of the camp. The surgery is very delicate and before performing checks are done completely. Needy from across Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and other parts attend the camp and avail benefit.
