After showcasing the immense diversity and colours of the Chhattisgarh culture, three-day-long State Youth Festival came to an equally exhilarating conclusion on Tuesday. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel marked his presence at the valedictory function as the chief guest whereas Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant presided over.
 
Other eminent guests attending the programme were Panchayat and Rural Development Minister TS Singhdeo, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu and other cabinet ministers along with MLAs. Over 7,000 youths and above 40-years age group contestants bring about their innate talent on the stage. The guests also gave away the prizes to winners of various competitions.
 
On Tuesday, a competition of Indian Classical Music was held at the Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium. In this event, Kishan Kumar of Rajnandgaon and Kanhaiyalal Vaishnav of Korba emerged winners in their respective categories. In the Karnataka Classical music of 15 to 40-year age group, VCRL Vaishnavi came first. Kishan Prakash of Rajnandgaon came first in the 15-40 age group, Kundan Mishra of Surguja came second and Brkha Gaur of Balod grabbed third spot in the Hindustani Classical Music whereas in the 40 plus group, Kanhaiyalal Vaishnav was the winner, Nandlal was on second spot and Jalesh Chandrawanshi of Kabirdham at third spot.
 
In the Tablas competition, Devesh Kumar Kanwar of Rajnandgaon emerged winner in 15-40 age groups whereas Mordhwaj Vaishnav was winner in above 40-year age group. In the 15-40 year age group, Swant Kumar Kewat of Surguja grabbed the second spot and Kamlesh Chandrakar got the third position. Total 21 artists competed in the category. In the above 40-year age group, Kamleshwar Chauhan of Janjgir-Champa came second and Ravikant Gajendra of Dhamtari was at third position. Total 10 artists contested in this group.
