“training is a significant part in which trainees have learnt new techniques of routine investigation and learnt law to work with full efficiency. Any appellant who reaches police station is already afraid and police officer needs to calm them and patiently hear their problem and take action to solve their problems and ensure justice with them,” said Jawaharlal Nehru Police Academy, Sagar, Director G Janardan while chairing a meeting of probationary DSPs and Sub-Inspectors at Police Control Room on Wednesday.
 
Addressing the meeting, G Janardan informed that all the officers passed through training and faced several problems and lacking in training institute. He asked the officers to share their experiences of training to bring necessary improvements in police training academy. Several probationary officers gave valuable suggestions. He futher said police officers must have leadership and management qualities and should have frequent interaction with influential and eminent residents in their respective areas. Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police Amit Singh said that training period is the only time to learn but they can never learn anything new during their service tenure. Investigation is the main work of a police officer and they must be strong in their writing work in crime investigation.
 
After sometime, probationary officers will be posted as Station House Officers when they will have to shoulder the responsibility of crime investigation and maintaining law and order arrangements. They will have to be efficient in identification of anti-social and good people and being prompt for action on minute information. During the meeting, Superintendent of Police, PTS Indore, T K Vidyarthi, Superintendent of Police, PTS Ujjain and 79 probationary DSPs and SIs were present.
