Tributes paid to MLA Banwari Lal Sharma, ex-MLA Rugnath Singh Anjana
The first day of Madhya Pradesh Assembly’s special session was wrapped up after paying tributes to two deceased leaders on Thursday. It will be on the second day i.e on Friday, that Assembly will ratify Constitution Amendment Bill to extend reservation to SCs, STs for another ten years. Leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava also paid tribute to both departed leaders.
 
However, he left everyone astonished when he tried to attract the attention that in every five-year tenure of Assembly, some sitting MLAs pass away. In this regard, he pointed out fingers against vastu design of Madhya Pradesh Assembly.
 
He said that discussion should be held on why such things happen? He also went into past wherein even some special rituals were done at the Assembly premises. He added that Assembly strength is 230 and some time, in duration of five years, figures of deaths related to MLAs even reaches till eight to ten.
 
After tribute paid by Gopal Bhargava, Assembly Speaker N P Prajapati adjourned the House till Friday morning. The Constitution Amendment Bill was passed by the Parliament recently and now it is being sent to State Assembly for ratification. On first day of special session, Assembly paid tributes to Congress MLA Banwari Lal Sharma, who died last month due to prolonged illness. He was MLA from Morena district’s Jaura seat. Assembly also paid homage to ex-MLA Rugnath Singh Anjana. Chief Minister Kamal Nath remembered Banwari Lal Sharma as a social worker who started his political career from Sarpanch post. CM said that though Banwari Lal Sharma was not well but he used to meet him often to give applications (over public issues). CM also paid homage to Rugnath Singh.
