Demand to develop Film City in Jabalpur is gaining attention of local administration as well as bids are being made by different organisations to attract attention of authorities in the State Administration. Nagrik Upbhokta Margdarshak Manch (NUMM) organised a joint meeting of various organisations and discussed the proposal to develop Film City in Jabalpur while also demanded the State Government to include Jabalpur in plan for development of Film City including Jabalpur.

 

On Thursday, in a meeting held under the Presidentship of Dr P G Najpande of State Coordinator, Nagrik Uphokta Margdarshak Manch informed that since last many decades Jabalpur has been in choice of film makers. Jabalpur was featured in various successfully Bollywood hits including 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Bobby, Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye and many other hit films and television productions.

 

Even though the proposal of developing Film City in Cabinet meeting between Bhopal to Indore but in this proposed developmental decision the Jabalpur did not got any place. He added that Collector, Jabalpur, Bharat Yadav had written a letter to the Principal Secretary, Tourism apprising him about a symposium on Possibilities of Film Production in Jabalpur to be organised on February 13, 2020. IN this workshop around 20 leading film producers. Collector has also seek allotment of Rs 6 lakhs for this event.

 

The joint meeting of different organisations on Thursday was organised by NUMM. In the meeting unanimous demand has been raised to development film city in Jabalpur before State Government. IN the meeting Rajat Bhargava, Dr. Prashant Kaurav, DR Lakhera, AB Shrivastava, Ashutosh Diwedi, Bake Bihari Beohar, Vaibhav Pathak, Mukul Yadav, C S Singh, Vipul Mishra, Dr MLV Rao, Mitra Vardhan Sharma, Anil Pachori, MM Patel, Malhar Yadav, Ram Milan Sharma, informed that State Government should take decision on priority or it will not find space in budget of State.
