Chhattisgarh Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at the Chief Minister’s House on Thursday evening, has decided to give 26 acres of land at Pipraud village to Shri Balaji Swami Shri Dudhadhari Muth Raipur in exchange of Muth’s 26 acres of lands where Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) has been developed at Ravanbhatha. Talking to mediapersons after the Cabinet, Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar said that according to the memorandum, the State Government has taken a decision to allot 26 acres of land in exchange of 26 acres of the land where the ISBT has been developed.
 
The Cabinet has approved the Chhattisgarh Krishi Upaj Mandi (Amendment) Ordinance-2019. The State Government has extended stock limit of Krishi Upaj Mandi from 10 quintals per day to 20 quintal per day. Now 5 quintal paddy, remaining 5 quintal oil seeds, pulses or other crops will be procured, he added. The Cabinet also approved Chhattisgarh Krishi Upaj Mandi (Amendment) Bill-2019. The Cabinet has decided to constitute a seven-member committee for fixation of honorarium for Tulaiya and Hammals and to protect the interest of the farmers.
 
Farmers and labourers will be members of the committee. Earlier, the Officer-in-Charge used to take decision to increase the honorarium of the Hammals, said Akbar. The Cabinet has extended to implement Electronics and Information Technology Investment Policy- 2014-19 till the new Investment Policy 2019-24 is not effective. 38 investors have expressed their desire to invest around Rs 6,045 crore but only 13 investors only invested 45 crore and around 1,900 people got employment against a target of 10,000, he added. The Cabinet has approved a proposal for cooperative limit of Rs 15,000 crore for procurement of paddy from banks and financial institutions.
 
At present, the State Government has procured 32 lakh metric tonne paddy and paid around Rs 4,300 crore to the farmers, said the Forest Minister. The Cabinet has decided to limit the duration of the state song ‘Arpa Pairi Ke Dhar…’ from 6.36 minutes to one-two minute. In this regard, the State Government will fix the exact duration of the State song, he added. The Cabinet also decided for re-fixation of rates of water tax for industrial, thermal power project and hydro electricity projects.
 
The rate has been effective since 24, 2016. The State Government has also decided to develop the building of Raibahadur Bhootnath De Charitable Trust Budhapara Raipur, where Harinath Acamdey is functional at present, to Swami Vivekananda Memorial. Around 4,900 square feet land will be given to the De Charitable Trust near Malaria Hospital Kalibadi, he added. Akbar said that the Cabinet decided to reinstate Anuradha Dubey, who was employed at Tourism Board. The Cabinet has also decided to merge four employees of Veterinary Department Madhya Pradesh in Chhattisgarh Government. These employees are extending their service in Chhattisgarh since November 1, 2000, said Akbar.
