Illegal plotting in Huzur Tehsil was razed during an action of district administration on Thursday under a drive launched against Mafia in the state. Sub Divisional Magistrate of Huzur Tehsil Rajesh Shrivastava led a team of district administration, BMC and police officials to demolish the illegal construction on farmland. The SDM told the ‘The Hitavada’ that the illegal plotting was done by Sanjay Tyagi and Jitendra Rajak, and were developing a colony here in Mendori village. He added that plots were being developed on farmlands belonging to farmers Kewal Singh and Nekram Pal. The illegal plotting and the road constructed on the occupied land were demolished with the help of JCB machines and labourers. First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against five land mafias, who in collusion with the Tehsildar, reader, had occupied 52.24 acres of land.

The accused had occupied 52.24 acres of land in Kanasaiya village, showing fake documents in 2011. The complaint was made by Amir Khan, a resident of NRI colony, at the Koh-e-Fiza police station. Khan is the caretaker of the occupied land. In 2011, alleged land mafia Jasbir Singh, Nanak Singh, Balwant Singh, Santokh Singh and Trilochan Singh, with involvement of the then Tehsildar reader, Laxmi Narayan Verma had produced the fake papers of the land and occupied the land.

But, the possession of the land remained with Amir itself. Amir, in his complaint, said that with the support of gangsters Mukhtar Malik, Asif Mamu and Aslam Khan aka Choti, the land mafia had occupied his land illegally. The complainant even received death threats from the gangsters. The matter was probed by the then Tehsildar, Huzur, Rajesh Shrivastava in 2011 and the reports claimed that the land was occupied illegally by the land Mafia. Actions against the land Mafia and the Tehsildar reader, Laxmi Narayan Verma was proposed but the matter was swept under the carpet. Nine years later, the district administration has begun to take stringent actions after District Collector Tarun Pithode reprimanded the officers for showing negligence on the CM’s order against the mafia.
