With an aim to review law and order situation a meeting of officers of administration and police was called upon on Thursday at Collectorate. The meeting was chaired by Collector Bharat Yadav in presence of Superintendent of Police Amit Singh and JMC Commissioner Ashish Kumar. The objective behind the meeting called upon has taken place in view of some alleged organisation having given call for Jabalpur Bandh, followed by arrival of Union Home Minister on 12.1.2019 and on the same day examination of Public Service Commission.
 
According to information, in view of alleged call by given organization pertaining to Jabalpur Bandh on January 7, along with schedule visit of union home minister and examination of PSC. A meeting in this connection was called upon at Collectorate. Officers from administration and police attending meeting were instructed to maintain extra vigilance and to monitor all activities within their respective jurisdictions. Any attempt made by anti social element to tamper law and order situation must be dealt with stringent action. Officer were told to ensure to follow the prohibitory orders imposed across the district range. No permission should be granted to take out rallies and processions. Any attempt to close business establishment must be dealt with firm note.
 
Also that officers from administration and police were instructed to pay special attention in areas considered sensitive and to ensure adequate police bandobast to keep law and order situation intact. Among the officers present in the meeting were additional collector Harsh Dixit, and Sandeep GR, Additional SP Sanjeev Uikey and Amrit Meena all SDMs and CSPs were present.
