Gandhi Nagar Police, on Thursday, claimed to have solved the blind murder of a 42-year-old loading auto driver whose body was found near Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences and Research at Bisankhedi road on January 27. Two persons, Shahrukh and Mohsin alias Chhotu, involved in the killing have been arrested by the police 36 hours after the incident.
 
ASP Dinesh Kaushal addressing to mediapersons said, “Key accused Shahrukh, who was living as a tenant in the house of deceased around 12-years ago, had a crush on wife of the deceased since he was just 15 years old. So Shahrukh eliminated him in anticipation that he cannot come close to land lady till her husband is alive. Shahruk, a resident of Karond, does tailoring work in Roshanpura whereas his friend Mohsin is a painter and resides in Gandhi Nagar area”. As per the ASP Kaushal, body of auto driver Aslam, 42, a resident of Rambha Nagar, was recovered from BDA plots, Bisenkhedi Road on January 27 and it was found that a body had stabbing injuries marks in neck region besides wallet and mobile phone of deceased were missing.
 
Acting on a tip of that murder accused are at Abbas Nagar, police team swung into action and arrested the youth who introduced himself as Shahrukh and Mohsin. Shahrukh, who admitted the murder, disclosed the police that 12-years ago when he was just 15-year-old, had a crush on land lady. He was living in rented room. Now, when he realised, he can not succeed in love if Aslam is alive. He hatched a conspiracy with Mohsin. Both purchased robe and knife and called Aslam at Karond Chowraha informing him that he (deceased) had consignment to transport (shifting) from Jail Road to Abbas Nagar. Shahrukh also boarded the loading auto and Mohsin was on bike. Shahrukh, offered a pan mixed with ‘Bhang’ to Aslam in route. And then they strangulated Aslam and killed him, said police.
