20,750 litres of adulterated milk seized, thrown down

The Food Security Department team destroyed 20,750 litres of milk on being found adulterated with urea. Samples of which were taken by the officials on December 15.

A team of Bhopal Municipal Corporation and the officials of Food Security Department thrown down the adulterated milk in Chhawni Adampur village on Friday.
 
In an action taken by the Crime Branch and Food Security Department on December 15, tankers of Sanchi Milk Federation were seized on being found adulterated with urea.
Milk samples were sent to the laboratories for the test, results of which indicated that 20,000 litres of milk was adulterated with 40kg urea.
 
Peanut oil samples taken: Under the campaign ‘Shudh Ke Liye Yudh’, the Food Security Department has taken samples of peanut oil and vegetable gravy from a restaurant in MP Nagar Zone-1 on Friday.
The action was taken under the Food Safety and Security Act-2006 and the samples have been sent to the state food security laboratories for testing.
