Man shots wife dead in Medhi Jhamar village

Sensation prevailed in Medhi Jhamar village when a woman was shot dead by her husband with his licensed gun under the jurisdiction of Patan police station. Man killed his wife on the doubt of her illicit relation with another man. Acting promptly on the information, police started a search and succeeded in apprehending the accused identified as Rohini Prasad (50), resident of Medhi Jhamar village.

SHO of Patan Shivraj Singh informed that receiving the information of a murder, police team reached the spot where a boy named Pankaj Mehra (22), resident of Medhi Jhamar informed that he was standing at around 50-metres distance from the house when he heard a noise of firing, he reached the house and witnessed his mother sustaining a bullet injury was running outside the house and his father was chasing her keeping his licensee gun and again opened fire on his mother. Second bullet wounded the abdomen of his mother who succumbed to her critical bullet injuries on the spot. His father managed to escape from the spot.
 
He informed that his father Rohini Prasad is working as private security guard at Allahabad Bank, Maneri Branch and has a licensee gun. Police sent the body of deceased Janki Bai (42) for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama at Netaji Subhash Hywa. The accused Hywa driver managed to escape from the spot and left behind his Hywa. Police sent the body for post-mortem after conducting Panchnama at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital. Gorakhpur police have registered a case under Sections 304 (A), 279 and 337 of the IPC.
