State Cyber Police Zone Jabalpur nabbed a boy for making fake Facebook account in the name of a girl to defame her to break her marriage. The accused has been identified as Prashant Rajak (22), son of Umesh Rajak, resident of Vallabh Nagar in Sagar district. Under the direction of Special Director General of Police (Cyber) Rajendra Kumar and Additional Director General of Police Milind Kanaskar, State Cyber Police Zone Jabalpur started a special campaign against persons involved in illegal use of information technology under the supervision of Superintendent of Police, Cyber Zone Jabalpur, Ankit Shukla.
 
During the campaign, Cyber Police received a written complaint from a girl about making a fake Facebook account and used her photo in her name by unidentified person and trying to defame her. Acting on the complaint, Cyber Police Jabalpur Zone registered a case of the IT Act and started search to identify and apprehend the accused. Investigating the case, Cyber Police team blocked the fake Facebook account and succeeded in trapping the accused through technical investigation.
 
The accused confessed the making of fake Facebook account in the name of complainant. Accused disclosed that he was after the complaint whose marriage was fixed with another person. He tried to defame the complainant to break her marriage to marry her later. The accused was apprehended with active working of Cyber Police team led by Inspector, Vipin Tamrakar comprised of Sub Inspector Hemant Pathak, Head Constable Manish Upadhyay and Constable Shubham Saini.
